During the month of March, which is international women's month, I refocus the class discussion and Do Now questions on issues that affect females, family unit, gendered poverty, domestic violence, economic mobility and language.

Thomas Sankara from Burkina Faso (The Land of Upright Men) in his book takes direct quotes from his speech on International Women's Day and his call for women's liberation and the full integration/incorporation of females into society.This book is perfect for students to analyze and apply to the current status of women.
